This week, we completed the final phase of the Osborne Street Reconstruction Project. This project has been a major priority for me since taking office and I appreciate everyone’s patience with seeing this through. It has not been easy. A huge thank you, once again, to our residents of Arleta for their advocacy and patience.
Last year, the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services completed Phase I of the project, which consisted of a temporary, surface-level resurfacing of Osborne Street to prevent further deterioration before the extreme rain we received this winter created even larger potholes and wear and tear.
Phase II took place earlier in the year and consisted of the upgrading of ADA access points by the I-5 Off/On ramps.
The final Phase III portion of the project was completed yesterday and consisted of permanent and long-term reconstruction and resurfacing of the street.
