ENSURING SAFE CONDITIONS UNDER BRIDGES IN PACOIMA WASH

My office organized the dismantling of dangerous makeshift suspended encampments under seven bridges in the Pacoima Wash last week. The cleanup was done in collaboration with the City’s Bureau of Sanitation and LAPD River Team, LA County Public Works, as well as the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) performing outreach.

The bridges cleared out were on Paxton Street near Arleta Avenue; Van Nuys Boulevard near Arleta Avenue; pedestrian bridge on Pierce Street and Stanwin Avenue; Terra Bella Street near Arleta Avenue; Kagel Canyon Street near Arleta Avenue; pedestrian bridge on Montague Street and Stanwin Avenue; and Wentworth Street and Stanwin Avenue.
