Working to prevent human trafficking through LAX

Airports are hubs for human trafficking. To help prevent it, I teamed up with Deborah Flint, C.E.O. of the Los Angeles World Airports, to inform travelers about what to do if they suspect trafficking through LAX, or if they are being trafficked.

Together, we shot a public service announcement. Later this month, the video will go live, playing on travelers’ digital devices when they sign up for the airport’s Boingo wireless service. My office will also post the video to social media.

Thank you to C.E.O. Flint, the airport police, airport operations and everyone else who made the shoot possible. Thanks to your efforts, our airport will be a safer place for women and girls.
