Protecting LA’s Water

Before Election Day, I was joined by the Mayor, Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo, LACCD Board President Mike Fong, David McNeill of the Baldwin Hills Conservancy, Ron Miller from the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council, and Rusty Hicks of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, to speak about Measure W that passed thanks to voters like you!

Measure W reflects my priority to ensure our communities benefit from the water investments they will make. It ensures money stays local so that revenues generated in our watershed stay in our watershed. Most importantly, it allows Los Angeles to make use of the precious rainwater we receive, rather than flush it back out to sea. It is all about making Los Angeles a more sustainable place to live, and Measure W will help us get there a little faster.
