Pieces of History in the San Fernando Valley

Midway through November, the Sixth District celebrated the grand opening of the Valley Relics Museum. Founded by Valley native Tommy Gelinas, the Valley Relics Museum began over 20 years ago as a private collection of trinkets and artifacts all relating to the San Fernando Valley.

Today, Tommy’s collection has spread across two hangars at the Van Nuys Airport and grown into a sprawling anthropological record of the people, places, and things of the place we in the San Fernando Valley call home. Gleaming in chrome and neon, Tommy’s museum is a sight to be seen. Be sure to visit the Valley Relics Museum soon and check out a piece of our shared history!
