As our City grows, traffic has increased and the Sixth District has seen our share of this change. I've spoken with many residents that have a growing concern with the safety of our streets as cars zoom through our communities. So together we are working to make our streets safer especially near our schools.
That's why I was excited to new street lights unveiled in Panorama City on Woodman Ave, where Montague and Parthenia meet. My office worked closely with the Department of Transportation to install new lights near Valor Academy Middle School and local apartments. These street lights and crosswalk signal will ensure that our students and local families will increase the safety of their daily walks.
As we lead the Sixth District to a brighter future, pedestrian safety must be a priority and these traffic signs are a step in the right direction.
