Movie nights in Arleta

Improving our community starts starts by engaging our residents but it doesn't always have to be hard work. On Friday, The Arleta Neighborhood Council and the Looky Loos Neighborhood Watch brought Arleta together to enjoy the first summer movie night of 2015

Arleta movie night

Over 200 people came together to screen Big Hero 6 with their children and friends. We had a blast inside the Branford Recreation Center laughing at the movie and enjoying popcorn and other snacks that were provided.

Last year, over 1,000 Sixth District residents joined my office for four movie nights in the Van Nuys Government Plaza. Because of its overwhelming success, my office is hosting movie events in each of our communities throughout the summer. Stay tuned to my website and Facebook pages for updates on the next movie night!

Thank you to everyone who participated and made the first of these movie nights was a great success. Our residents stay busy with clean ups and outreach and I was proud to recognize their hard work.
